The Artisan 002 Sighthound Dog Collar is a premium quality leather design created with a wide front, essential for a sighthound’s comfort and fitted with solid cast brass hardware. These dog collars are made in England using sustainable vegetable-tanned Italian leather from a world-famous tannery. Every item is hand cut and hand stitched for your hound in a small studio environment with attention to detail and an ethos of slow design and buy less, buy better.

SUSTAINABILITY:
Sustainability is really important to Seldom Found. Slow design and heritage practices are a key factor of their products. The leather is sourced from the UK using the world-famous Vegetable Tanned Walpier Buttero, from a family-run Italian tannery using leather destined for waste from the consumption market. No chemicals have been used to tan this leather, making it sustainable and biodegradable. All packaging is plastic free as standard and every product has been hand cut and saddle-stitched by hand.

FITTING:
It is very important to fit your collar correctly. Take a tape measure and wrap snug around the mid neck where your dog’s collar will comfortably fit, with 2 fingers flat underneath. This will be your collar size. Try and get a collar that fits the size near central, i.e. if your dog’s neck size is 13.5 inches, get a size S collar (12–15 inches).

XS: 10 - 13 inches
S: 12 - 15 inches
M: 14 - 17 inches
L: 16 - 20 inches

LOOKING AFTER YOUR COLLAR:
Leather needs to be looked after and is not suitable for regular swimming. If the leather gets wet, take off and allow to dry naturally. To clean, use a small amount of saddle soap on a cloth and rub into the leather. Seldom Found recommend using a leather wax finisher like Renapor after, applied sparingly, to keep the leather protected and supple. Vegetable tanned leather changes colour over time — this is not a flaw but the beauty of it! Always inspect the collar for any weaknesses over time to ensure the safety of your dog.

MADE-TO-ORDER:
All Seldom Found products are handcrafted in the UK and made-to-order, and can take up to 1 week to dispatch during busy times. Orders are sent via Royal Mail recorded delivery. Any returns need to be discussed with us directly and sent back to Seldom Found within 14 days, costs covered by the customer. Returns must be unworn with original packaging and labels. Orders will be reimbursed within 5 days of receiving items back. For bespoke sizes, please contact us.
